“They like my leadership,” Coleman said of what college coaches have told him. “And they like how I distribute the ball; that I’m not a selfish player.”
The No. 15 prospect by the Prep Hoops Indiana Top 60, Coleman is still early in his recruitment process but has been hearing from Indiana State, IUPUI, Purdue and Xavier. He doesn’t have any official offers and isn’t thinking about visits until he sees how this summer season goes. He is hopeful he can showcase his versatility and seeing what happens come the fall.
Until then he is hoping to keep developing his skillset.
“I’m just working on growing my explosiveness and not turning the ball over,” Coleman said.
Still, while he may not have a timetable for making a decision as he hopes this summer can garner some more he interest, he is looking for a program that has similar values with his when it comes to sharing the ball.
“I’ll be looking for teams that are playing together,” he said. “No ball hogs and teams that really play together.”
