Pfeiffer goes 6’8” and 220 pounds. He plays strong around the hoop and has a soft touch with his shots around the basket. Has potential as a mid-range shooter although it needs a little work mechanically. While not a great athlete his mobility has improved since last season. Should find a home at the D3/NAIA level as a quality big. With a huge summer could emerge as a D2 candidate.
He spoke about his junior year.
“It had its ups and downs. I didn’t do great in a couple games. We lost a lot of players and got a new coach. The system was a little different. It took us a while to get into it. We tried different things. We tried a five out and going with two bigs. It was a rough year, but we have our seven guys coming back next year that will be playing consistently. I am looking forward to it.”
What is the latest with his recruitment?
“Olivet Nazarene was talking to me. Other than that I am looking at some D2 schools in St. Louis. A couple said they would come see me this summer, but I haven’t gotten a lot back from them. I am still looking for a D2 or NAIA school with good academics. Academics come first, then basketball.”
Pfeiffer plays with the Illinois Bears on the travel team circuit.
