Michigan’s 32nd-ranked 2017, the good-sized wing is already seeing some Division I and Division II interest, but is still feeling optimistically under the radar.
“I have some interest from Akron, Detroit, Ferris State, I have no offers but I’m not even worried about that. I’m just working hard and I’m just hoping to get one this year,” said Robinson.
“I text with Akron and they came to watch me workout. And then I text with Detroit, and Ferris State they came to almost all of my games, especially towards the end of the season.”
“I feel like I’m a little underrated, and I just feel like I’m going to give it my all these last five months so I can get a scholarship.”
The junior wing sites his forte as playing with a never quit attitude, and he takes pride in his grit. .
“Pretty much I play with heart, I never give up. And the best thing I do on the court is rebound, I defend and finish, but rebounding is my number one,” said Robinson.
“I want to work on my handles a little bit, so I can dribble more, and my shooting touch. I also want to work on my footwork, I want to be able to guard twos and other guards.”
He’ll be spending the rest of his 17U offseason Elite Nation and says he enjoys being one of the top scoring options for the team.
“I’m a big option in the offense, they are focused on getting the ball,” said Robinson. “I want to work on being more aggressive to take over a game. I haven’t done that really.”
