He received his first offer on November 1 of last year, and has been hearing from a slew of additional D1 programs.
“Maryland Eastern Shore offered, and I have high interest from Weber State, NJIT, Pacific, VMI, Iona, Stony Brook, Fairleigh Dickinson, Lipscomb, SMU, Northern Kentucky, Richmond, TCU and also Oakland,” said Dixon.
“I feel like Weber State and NJIT may be the next to offer, and SMU is after me pretty hard as well. I talk to Weber State all the time.”
Dixon describes himself as a combo-guard who is able to find teammates for open looks just as adeptly as he creates looks for himself.
“I’m a scorer and shooter, most of my shots are from beyond the arc, but I also like to create for my teammates,” said Dixon.
“I’m working to improve my defense right now, and I actually have seen some differences lately. My alertness has gotten better and my reaction defensively, and my aggressiveness as well.”
While playing with Team Belief 17U Dixon says he’ll just strive to get better and get some more looks from college coaches.
“I’m a combo guard on that team I do a little bit of everything. I create for my teammates, get people open, and get my shots too,” he said.
“I’m just trying to get some more offers this summer of course, and just continue to get better.”
