Couple notes before we get started. The college coaches in attendance tomorrow will focus on 17 and Under talent so that is where we are staying when it comes to this Prospect Guide. Also, we don’t know much about the Wisconsin Playmakers so we won’t be mentioning them.
If you are a division two program or a division three program that can get D2 kids here are some names for you to watch (and of course other schools too as not all of these kids will develop to be NSIC players) separated into a few categories. ***We excluded the D1 offered talents from this list
The Known Names
Weston Baker Magrath (Fury/Marshall). Stong & explosive, has D2 offers
Jameson Bryan (Warriors/Eastview). Auggie has offered the high IQ point guard
Dedoch Chan (D1 MN P/Roch JM). Talented for sure, now is a main guy
Owen Chose (Fury Zurn/EP). Becoming one of the state’s best shooters
Parker Fox (Heat Vang/Mahtomedi). Big on the wing, explosive, D1 or D2 likely
Kade Hart (Fury Zurn/Faribault). Moves well, excellent defensively
Bryce Irsfeld (Comets Lewis/Browerville). One of the top D2 names in St. Cloud
Rocky Kreuser (Fury Kallman/Totino-G). USF already offered the skilled tough guy
Alec Loehr (Warriors/Rosemount). Big wing that can play several spots
Luke Loehr (Warriors/Rosemount). Will he keep growing? Skilled and agile
Lucas Mayer (ECI Prospects/B Century). Has a U of Mary offer, stands 6-6
Walt McGrory (D1 MN P/Edina). This is his team, how far does he take them?
Siman Sem (ECI/Fargo North). Had a d1 already, should get some D1 & D2s
Jimmy Vollbrecht (Comets Lewis/Jordan). His game grows every year.
Simon Wright (Comets Lewis/Hopkins). Likely to have D1 and D2 offers
Time to Prove It
Oakley Baker (Fury Zurn/NRHEG). Good touch, good length, bigger role
Cody Carlson (Twins P Pride/Duluth East). Tough, skilled low post player
Chris Davis (D1 MN P/Champlin P). Has potential inside, time to corner turn
Kellan Erpenbach (Comets DLR/NYA). Want to see how he runs this team
Broc Finstuen (Fury Zurn/Pine Island). Good effort, active, improved shooter
Shane Frost (Heat Vang/Mahtomedi). Excitable PG will run Heat Vang
Chase Grinde (Heat Vang/Spring Grove). People can’t wait to see him at this level
Jake Guse (Select/Waseca). Long with good size, time to take steps inside
Dillon Haider (Comets Lewis/Melrose). Great shooter, want to see him handle
Mykal Howard (Fury Kallman/St. L Park). Loved him last year with Magic
Ethan Igabango (WOTN/Lakeville N). Excellent winter in role, now role is bigger
Jamaris Johnson (Select/St Croix L). Good potential, steps into bigger roles
Trevor Koenig (Comets DLR/ St C Tech). Size is there, moves fine, who consistent?
Josh McGreal (Select/Centennial). Explosive leaper, good worker, what position?
Jacob Mertens (ECI/Devils Lake). Big number producer in HS, is Grassroots next?
Zac Olson (Comets DLR/WEM). Is growing at both forward spots
Tyler Riemersma (Warriors/Jefferson). Productive, skilled, time to take a step
Jaran Roste (Comets Lewis/Alexandria). Versatile and tough, an all around battler.
Trevor Schermann (WOTN/Lakeville N). Active worker, now must score more
Savion Scott (D1 MN P/Mpls Henry). A wing scorer who will get looks
Jacob Streit (Crossfire S/EVW). Double-doubles, can he do it this weekend?
Mitch Sueker (Fury Zurn/Marshall). Skilled forward with size will hit shots
Derek Thompson (Comets Lewis/Rocori). Size and agility is there, consistency next
Isaiah Walden (D1 MN P/Roch JM). Plays both guard spots, getting better at both
Noah Whalen (Select/Tartan). Has a chance for a big role with Select
Sam Wilson(WOTN/Farmington). Tough & productive, must do it at 17U now
CJ Woda (Crossfire W/Heritage C). What can Woda do as top guy on team?
Get to Know Em
John Bezdicek (Heat Bui/Osseo). Big part of the Osseo run coming off the bench
Matt Bezdicek (Heat Bui/Osseo). Skilled with a lot of toughness
Dominic Bledsoe (Heat Vang/DeLaSalle). Big time defender this year
Justin Engg (ECI/Minot). Has been talked about by NSIC schools already
Zach Hanson (WOTN/New Prague). 6-5 forward who can do a lot
Andrew Kallman (Fury Kallman/Chaska). Excellent year, plays both G spots
Rob McClain (Comets K/Red Lake). Led team to state, huge numbers
Gavin Moeller (ECI/WF Sheyenne). Good length and size, is developing at 6-6
Logan Rezac (Crossfire W/Andover). Had a great year, many have been impressed
Brock Schrom (Comets DLR/Grand Rapids). Good size at 6-8, plays tough
Brian Sitzmann (Fury Kallman/Prior Lake). Has a scoring punch feet set or attack
Lamar Wood (D1 MN P/Mpls Henry). Moved here last fall, long and agile
Looks Good on Paper (but we know little)
Peter Gathje (Warriors/Jefferson). Brother of Thomas Gathje, is 6-ft-7
McKinley Gehlhausen (Crossfire S/W-M). Nice year by Berhow inside
Alex Jensen (Fury Kallman/Wayzata). At 6-foot-7 he’s got really good size
Rhys Langums (D1 MN P/St. Anthony). Nice numbers this year
John Towner (Comets K/Long Prairie). Stands just under seven feet tall
