Nick Robinson to St. Joseph’s
Kenwood 2016 small forward Nick Robinson has made his college decision. The state’s top available wing this spring has committed to St. Joseph’s. Robinson told us why they were his choice.
“My relationship with the head coach just sealed the deal because I can tell that he believes in me and wants the best for me and my future.”
The Kenwood senior also noted that the opportunity for his skill set in St. Joe’s system played a major factor.
“It’s a perfect fit for my style of play.”
Robinson is a big and physical wing that when he is locked in can flat out score! His combination of strength and athleticism make him intriguing at the next level. He can drive to the hoop and score slashing in the lane. Also works well posting his man up and making quick moves on the block against smaller defenders. Robinson is coming off a monster senior campaign where he led Kenwood to their best season in school history. A one-time Indiana State commit Robinson also took an official visit to California this past weekend.
The senior checks in at #8 overall and the #2 small forward in the final class of 2016 rankings. Robinson ran with the Mac Irvin Fire in the Nike EYBL last summer.
St. Joe’s is also recruiting top remaining post prospect in the state in Lake Forest’s Lorenzo Edwards who Robinson says he will be trying to get to join him.
