Max Strus to DePaul
Former Stagg High School standout Max Strus dominated at the D2 level this past season for Lewis averaging 20.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. He decided to transfer and became one of the most coveted D1 prospects in the Midwest gaining high major offers left and right.
Strus has informed PrepHoopsIllinois of his decision to commit to DePaul. He told us why the Blue Demons were his choice.
“I chose DePaul because I feel that it is the right fit for me and my family. I want to be a part of a program that’s going to do big things and that has a bright future. I want to help get DePaul back to where it used to be.”
The guard is a plus shooter from deep that has great mechanics on his shot. He moves well without the ball to set up his catch and shoot shot, but can also just pull up and drill a shot in his man’s face. Strus is an above average athlete that handles it well and can get to the rack. His intangibles are off the charts and plays with a high basketball IQ.
Strus will have two years of eligibility at DePaul to play.
