We will first be previewing a club’s top teams in those given age groups and will then circle back to their other teams. Today: Uncommon Bulls 17U
Organized by Program Director Antwaan Randle El, Uncommon Bulls broke onto the scene as one of the fastest rising grassroots organizations in Virginia last year. The Bulls have shown tremendous growth as an organization in the past year, and feature a number of talented prospects on their roster. Below is a preview of their 17U team.
“Our goal is for all of our student athletes to receive college exposure and for the program to maintain its positive growth.” – Coach Duval Simmonds

Players to Watch
Ejike Obinna: With offers from the likes of Virginia Tech, Clemson, Xavier, Miami, Temple, George Mason, and St. Joe’s and interest from a host of high major division one programs, the 6’9″ big man continues to show enormous strides in his development each time we see him. Look for his progression to continue, and his recruitment to follow as Ejike is regarded among the premier post players nationally in his class.

Jahlil Jenkins: Jahlil orchestrated a couple of dazzling performances in Virginia Academy’s state championship run. The highly skilled lead guard demonstrated elite skill to go along with his competitive nature. Recently featured as one of our biggest stock boosters in 2017, he is poised to break out this spring and summer as he sits firmly on the radar of a host of division 1 schools.

Tadas Nausedas: The 6’5″ guard can flat out shoot the lights out. He brings much more than that to the table, however. Nausedas is an alert, active defender with great instincts. He also flashes a bit of skill with the ball. Look for him to fill it up from the perimeter with the Bulls, who are absolutely stacked with guards.

Jamal Washington: A strong guard with a great overall feel for the game, Washington brings more great experience to this roster as a state champion. The 6’2″ guard is a good rebounder, who owns strong hands and really excels in the open court where he’s a very efficient finisher with either hand. Look for the aggressive play maker to see a major uptick in recruitment this spring and summer.
