A new beginning is here as this new Team Loaded 434 group was 25-8 last season as the VABA Bruins 14U team. Now under the Loaded brand, it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to think that they will have similar success this year. While they don’t have a true big man, they have a rotation of guards that can all stretch the floor. This group has been together for a while now, and they should be able to compete with talented teams with their high IQ, sneaky athleticism, high effort and ability to shoot the basketball.
Last year’s 434 team had several college players on it.Roster

Malachi Poindexter; 5’11” G (Louisa County)

Players to Watch
- Jalen Henderson: A long and bouncy wing, Henderson is a menace in transition where he’s capable of finishing at the rim with either hand. He has a great feel, knowing where defenders are on the trail and finishing where he can’t get blocked. He also is capable of creating space with the step back, and has a solid middle game. He’ll be an intriguing prospect moving forward.
- Dalton Taylor: He’s not the fastest, biggest or strongest, but he is a coach’s son and he plays like one. Taylor is an extension of the coach on the court, inspiring his team vocally and getting them into the correct sets at all times. He’s a good shooter, has great feel and plays with a chip you like to see in your point guard.
- Antonio Pelham: Long term wise, Pelham might be the most interesting player on this team. At 6’5″ he’s their tallest player, making him the big by default, but he’s much more comfortable playing on the perimeter than he is in the post. He can shoot the set shot and put it on the floor, and his length allows him to guard multiple positions across the floor.
