He has a long and lanky frame that he will need to continue to add strength to finish better around the hoop. Great mobility. He flashes quickly to the ball where he can convert an alley-oop or drill a short jumper. Potential as a shot blocker with his great length. Still learning the game!
Joest spoke about his skill set and what he feels his strengths are as a prospect.
“I try to get the ball in the post and do what I can with it. Feed it outside or make a move when I get position.”
Where is he trying to grow and evolve in his game?
“Improving my shooting from the outside.”
Overall how does he feel his sophomore season has gone?
“Pretty good. Just found my role and try to keep with it.”
Joest ran with Team First on the travel team circuit last summer.
