He’s seen little in regards to recruitment — no mail, just some initial happenstance contact with a few area Division I coaches.
“I’ve talked to some coaches face-to-face and they said they were interested, but I haven’t seen any mail yet or anything. I’ve talked to Buffalo, Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan coaches. I talked to them right before the season at some open gyms,” said Temple.
“I’m hoping to get some more interest soon, so I can make my decision early-on.”
Michigan’s 104th-ranked 2017, Temple considers himself a versatile threat offensively. He’s able to play in the post as a power forward, but feels most comfortable starting out on the perimeter as a wing.
“I consider myself to be an athletic slasher that can shoot, so I really can do anything offensively,” said Temple.
“I’m more comfortable starting out on the perimeter and getting to the basket. And I’m working right now to improve my 3-point shot. I stay after practice and get up shots a lot, and that’s really helping.”
Temple mentioned that with his high school team he starts as a power forward, and with his season winding down, he reflected on what his role has been.
“My role has been to rebound and spread the floor,” he said. “And whenever I get the ball just to make a play.”
