Along with his D1 interest, Gamm is hearing from all levels of schools; Division II, Division III, and NAIA.
“I’ve heard from Bucknell, Lewis (IL), Grand Valley State, Hope, Calvin, Kalamazoo College, Cornerstone, and Aquinas,” said Gamm, Michigan’s 43rd-tanked 2017.
“Bucknell has emailed me a few times and has invited me to go to a few camps, and I would say Hope is definitely recruiting me the heaviest right now. I went on a visit to Hope in September, and then I went to game later on. They’ve been at some of my games too, and I’ve talked to their coaches.”
He’ll once again play with the West Michigan Lakers this spring and summer for his 17U season, and says his goal is to continue to improve.
“I think about my recruitment a good amount, but I’m just focused on getting better,” said Gamm. “My goal is to just keep getting on the radar of some college coaches and to get better.”
Gamm mentioned to PHM that his savvy and feel for the game is what makes him good, and his ability to be a versatile post.
“I have really high basketball IQ, direct traffic pretty well. I can step out and shoot, and mix-it-up down low, I’m a good defender, good rebounder,” said Gamm.
“I’ll probably need to work on my ball-handling a little bit more though, and finishing better around the rim.”
With his junior season recently wrapping up, Gamm described what his role was with the Rams.
“I played heavy minutes, we don’t really have another big guy,” he said. “I think I played pretty well. I was injured in the beginning of February and missed some games, but I came back pretty quickly, and it was like I didn’t skip a beat.”
