He pushes it in the open floor with tremendous speed and his quickness off the bounce allows him to blow past defenders. He has strong drives to the basket and can hit pull up threes. On his high school team he doesn’t show his passing which is actually a strength because he is forced to score for his team to win. Rebounds well for position. Pesky defender that causes turnovers. Top 10 prospect in the class early on in 2018.
He discussed his sophomore season.
“I think I am playing ok. I am not too happy with my shot selection at times. I have to do better. I am the leader of the team. I have to lead these players and put them on my back.”
What is the difference between his role on his high school team and the one he shows on the grassroots circuit?
“It is a whole different role. With Meanstreets there are multiple scorers on the court. For my high school team I have to get my guys better, but I have to also put the team on my back.”
It is still very early in the process, but he has received initial college interest from a pair of schools in Ohio.
“I am getting a lot of interest from Xavier. They are really looking at me in the 2018 class. I got a letter from Dayton too.”
