The sophomore is a power driver that handles the ball well with both hands and can take his man to the hoop with his off hand to score. Defensively Acree is extremely active. He has a knack for getting in passing lanes and picking the pocket of his opponent. Also is a solid shot blocker. Quality rebounder that snatches them with two hands. Once his perimeter game rounds out we are definitely looking at a D1 prospect here.
Acree spoke about his sophomore season.
“It is going pretty good. We are still young and are trying to figure it out chemistry wise. I am doing well. Not playing varsity last year to averaging about 12 points per game this year has been good.”
Where does he feel his game has improved over the last six months the most?
“My ball handling and being a better rebounder.”
The sophomore broke down what he believes are the strengths in his game.
“A pass first three man that looks to get people open first. Doing whatever I can to help the team scoring wise.”
Defensively he is starting to become a force as well.
“It all starts on defense. That’s what motivates my offense is playing defense.”
Acree will once again run with the St. Louis Eagles on the travel team circuit.
