I have always been a fan of this underrated 6’2” shooting guard from St. Joseph’s. He is a plus mid-range shooter that knocks them down with regularity. Shown improvement on his range hitting more threes than he did in high school. Brown has a knack for getting in the lane with his crafty handles and finishing at the cup by keeping the ball away from his defender.
Brown spoke about his freshman season at KC.
“It has gone well. Coach has given me an opportunity to play more point guard. That is what I will be at the next level. I can play both of them so I have been working on pick and roll, expanding my range out to three, and being more of a vocal leader.”
He spoke about the transition from high level high school ball to the junior college level.
“It is different. There aren’t too many bigs in the JUCO game. It is more of a guards game. More based on our guards and how we perform.”
Where has he seen his game improve the most?
“Mid-range game has always been good for me. Getting to the basket. Consistent free throw shooting. Working on my ball handling so I can get to spots to get my shot off.”
Potential low-major/D2 recruit down the line with another year under his belt.
