Ethan is a 6’7 post in the 2019 class. Spry is continuing to develop his game but look for him to continue to get even better as he has a very high ceiling. He runs the floor very well for his size, & can shoot the ball from midrange. Spry averaged 12 points, 6 rebounds while shooting 58% from the field.
Ethan is very thrilled to have been apart of Scottsdale Christian’s successful season. He credits the coaching staff & his teammates for giving him the opportunity to start as a freshman and trusting him. Now that the high school season is over, Spry is looking forward to “getting back in the lab”, work on his weaknesses which he already is doing by watching game tape on this past season. For club this season he is returning to Alvin Gentry Elite. He is excited to be back together with the main pieces from the previous years, and he believes they will “compete at a high level”
Spry is already thinking about another run at a state title next season with Scottsdale Christian. Spry knows there are many parts of his game that need to get better and he is working with his coaches to focus on those things.
Recruiting wise, he has received little interest from Stanford &, Nebraska among other schools but it makes him even more motivated and hungry to get in the gym daily to become the best player he can be, and eventually find the best fit for him at the collegiate level.
Keep tabs on Spry this spring/summer at PrepHoops Arizona.
