Swalls is a combo guard that is a solid passer especially once he gets in the lane making great reads dumping it off to his big men for buckets. Shows the ability to win off the bounce and is slippery through traffic spinning in the lane and maneuvering his body to get through the defense. Effective mid-range shooter. One area to work on would be creating space on his shot. Overall just a tough kid that competes and is adequate rebounder at the small school level. Should definitely be looked at by D3/NAIA schools as a priority guy.
Swalls discussed his final year of high school basketball.
“This year I tried to step up and be a leader. Last year I had a decent role, but this year I definitely had to step up and play harder. Do everything a lot better, help other guys out, and be a good teammate.”
What is his self-scouting report on himself as a player?
“All-around. I can drive, shoot, play defense, get rebounds. I try to go as hard as I can the whole game.”
The senior doesn’t have much interest at all right now on the recruiting trail. He told us what he will be looking for in a school.
“Good coaching staff and a good team. Winning record and overall good atmosphere.”
