Little’s foot speed and agility are improving month-to-month. Now he wants the recruiting to improve accordingly.
“I feel like I could be a MAC (Mid-American Conference) player,” said Little. “I believe any MAC school I could compete.”
Little did visit Central Michigan and his coach keeps in touch with Eastern Michigan a bit. Little heard from his coach that Loyola (Maryland) inquired about him.
“Loyola (MD)… my head coach talked to their head coach,” said Little.
The Greyhounds of Loyola have an enormous Class of 2016 heading to campus (5). The numbers can change, but it might be a full class. To that end, Loyola Head Coach G.G. Smith has apparently stopped offering players in 2016. As of now Little is not one of them.
Adrian College evaluated Little this year. University of Detroit and Albion College are interested.
“I talked to coach there,” said Little. “They told me that they want me up there. Albion and Adrian told me that. They both want me up there.”
While he appreciates the interest from both schools, Little wants to broaden his horizons. He is attempting to collect more offers, from a wider net.
“I am leaving all my options open so far,” said Little.
Face-to-Face
By sharing a deeper, more meaningful conversation with Orlando Little, Davenport University (NAIA) embedded their program in his consideration.
“As of right now I am looking into Loyola (MD) and Davenport (D2),” said Little. “They were just waiting for my senior year. I have been up there on four visits.”
Seeing is believing and attaching memories associated with a program is important. If the recruit never visits a campus, they are definitely not interested (unless he is O.J. Mayo).
“I have been up there a lot,” said Little of Davenport University. “I like the campus a lot. I like the campus, team, and the coaches.”
DU (32-5) had a great season, defeating along the way Concordia, Cornerstone, and Aquinas. They are wonderful landing spot for Michigan-based recruits.
“I talk to Coach [Ethan] Leasher alot and the head coach some too,” said Little.
Both Little’s body (6-foot-4, 205) and his body of work are impressive. Stacking more schools on the pile will help him make an informed decision.
