SF Jayson Tatum (Chaminade, MO – Duke)
Tatum has been consistently productive throughout the week. The Duke commit worked well in the mid-range on Monday. Tuesday he took his man in the post where he used his jump shot, footwork, and pump fakes to score. Also hit a few jumpers from the perimeter. Competed on the glass winning multiple 50/50 balls.
PG Frank Jackson (Lone Peak, UT – Duke)
After winning the dunk contest on Monday night Jackson showed off his athleticism in the Tuesday practice pushing the pace. Tremendous vision and feel for the game. Also shot the ball well from the perimeter with smooth elevation off the floor and an effortless stroke from three. Just what the doctor ordered for the Blue Devils at the lead guard position.
PF Tony Bradley (Bartow, FL – North Carolina)
Bradley continues to be extremely impressive for the East squad. The 6’10” post is an anchor down low on both ends of the floor. It is impressive how he can finish with both hands around the basket. He isn’t an elite athlete, but just knows how to get the job done in the paint. Strong post defender that has more than held his own on that end of the floor throughout the week.
PG Lonzo Ball (Chino Hills, CA – UCLA)
Ball is a 6’5” point guard with great size and skill. He has a tremendous feel for the game and showed that off in practice making some spectacular passes in the open floor. Also shoots the ball well from the perimeter. Shot release goes across his face, but he was one of the only consistent shooters from three in Tuesday’s practice. UCLA is getting an impact point guard that will change the game from day one.
PF Jarrett Allen (St. Stephens Episcopal, TX)
Allen was good again on Tuesday. The uncommitted post was a beast on the glass. He was snatching them out of the air on a consistent basis. He soars for the rebound, secures it, and clears space before throwing a strong outlet pass. Offensively he used his quickness and athleticism in the paint to finish several slams. Also hit a couple short jumpers.
