The guard play of Braham bordered between very good to downright impressive, especially when they hit shots in bunches. Their ball movement was crisp and precise, and you could sense a natural chemistry. Maybe it was that most of these guys are related? Chris Olson finished with 33 points and Ryan Larson had 28 on 11-13 shooting.
Big Bodey — Six blocks in one half is nuts, and that’s exactly what Bodey did in the first. They went into half down 21, but you can’t overlook an effort like that. He finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds and nine blocks, one swat shy of a triple-double. Major props to him.
JCC second half run — Many called this a blowout after the halftime score; Braham had a lead as large as 24 points before halftime. But around the four-minute mark, JCC went on an 11-0 run that trimmed the deficit to just five points. Matt Ringkob missed a lay-up that would have brought JCC within three points of Braham, marking an incredible comeback, but they could not capitalize. Braham maintained full control the rest of the way and sealed out the title win. You have to love the comeback that JCC nearly pulled off, though.
