Brett Morrow 6’7 2016 Flagstaff – After sitting the entire spring and summer with a torn shoulder, Morrow rejoined his team in late October. The senior forward had a slow start but played a big role for the Eagles down the stretch. His ability to rebound on both ends and stretch the floor with his 15 footers was uncanny.
BJ Murphy 6’0 2016 Saguaro – A dual sport standout, Murphy led the Sabrecats who were ranked near the top 10 all season. The Washington football commit used his athleticism and playmaking ability to compete against the top teams in the state.
Nik Nehls 6’4 2016 Catalina Foothills – Nik had a very strong senior year as the leading scorer for the Falcons. He shot it at a high level and, along with sophomore Sam Beskind, was a playmaker off the bounce. Unfortunately, Nehls did not finish out the season with Catalina for undisclosed reasons.
Jake Rueter 6’0 2016 Seton Catholic Prep – Rueter may have been more important to his team than any other player in terms of success. The 6’0″ senior scored or assisted on nearly every basket for a team that made it to the second round of the state tournament.
