21st Century Ran Away In Triton
Gary 21st Century has one of the best scorers in the state in Eugene German and he didn’t slow down as they easily knocked off Triton in the morning session and South Newton easily that night. They had one of the easiest pair of wins in 1A as most others had at least one close game to deal with.
Liberty Christian Hits Two Buzzer Beaters To Win Regional
You have to give some credit to Central Catholic, at one point in this game they were out of it and actually had the lead heading into the final seconds against Liberty Christian but first it was Franklin Nunn to send it to overtime. Then, Ronny Wililams hit a ridiculous fading jumper to win the game at the buzzer.
Bloomfield With Too Much Size At Martinsville
It was going to be a battle of styles for Bloomfield as they first had to beat an underrated Indianapolis Arlington team that went right down to the last possession. Then, they had to do the same thing against Indianapolis Tindley. Bloomfield is a large team for 1A and they found ways to combat the speed of the two Indianapolis area squads.
West Washington Gets First Regional Championship
West Washington already won their first Sectional title since 1996 and now has won their first ever Regional Championship. They had a tough road as they had to take down North Daviess and Wood Memorial, two schools that have been pretty dominant at these levels the last decade.
