Virginia Player of the Week – Week 12: Jermaine Marrow
The Heritage Hurricanes are headed to the 4A State Tournament this year. Jermaine Marrow, their senior point guard, has been the team’s leading scorer this season. Last week, he scored 43 points to help them advance in the Ironclad Conference Semifinal vs. Smithfield.
Jermaine was notably efficient that night, shooting 15 of 24 from the field, and 13 of 14 from the charity stripe. He’s put up ridiculous numbers all season as a result of his ability to get wherever he pleases on the court and execute. The Hampton University commit earned a well deserved nomination among 5 others for Buffalo Wild Wings Week 12 Player of the Week, and was determined the winner by capturing 38% of the nearly 600 submitted votes.
Jermaine and Heritage will travel to Culpeper tonight for the 4A East Regional Semifinal vs. VA Top 30 No. 20 Eastern View, who own an unblemished 24-0 record.
