Fort Wayne Carroll (14-3) vs. DeKalb (5-9) – 7:30 PM ET
DeKalb hasn’t had the season they would have liked but Fort Wayne Carroll presents an opportunity for them to get a signature win and they have someone that can matchup with Kyle Mallers in Will Chrisman. It will be tough but it is doable. PREDICTION: Fort Wayne Carroll
TUESDAY:
Andrean (6-8) vs. East Chicago Central (11-4) – 8:00 PM ET
The schedule is light on Tuesday but Andean could make some noise with a possible win over East Chicago Central. ECC has dropped a few games this season and Andrean’s schedule has not been easy. If there is an upset that could happen on Tuesday it could be this one. PREDICTION: East Chicago Central
WEDNESDAY:
Fort Wayne Carroll (14-3) vs. Huntington North (12-6) – 7:45 PM ET
FW Carroll makes the list twice which tells you a lot about how important this week is. Huntington North has already knocked off a few big team this season and are plenty capable of putting up big enough numbers to beat Carroll. If Hunter Hollowell and knock down some perimeter jumpers, this could be a really fun game. PREDICTION: Fort Wayne Carroll
THURSDAY:
Lake Central (12-6) vs. Merrillville (16-1) – 8:00 PM ET
Lake Central has won 5 of 7 and will like to get some revenge for a loss earlier in the season to Merrillville. They lost 42-56 but that was right before this slew of wins. For two teams that could see each other a third time in Regionals, this is a pivotal game for both. PREDICTION: Merrillville
Lawrence Central (13-5) vs. North Central (15-1) – 8:00 PM ET
This is the second game of a pair at the Coliseum on Thursday night. LC has lost a few tough games this season and North Central’s schedule was weak earlier and this is right at the end of their tough stretch. LC only lost by 1 during the Marion County Tournament and they could easily come back and get a win in this one. PREDICTION: Lawrence Central
Lawrence North (13-5) vs. Carmel (11-5) – 6:30 PM ET
This is the first game of the double-header at the Coliseum. Carmel hasn’t had the best season but they are also in partial rebuild mode. They have won 5 straight with some big wins in there. LN lost three straight before winning a pair last weekend to right the ship. Will be a battle and really a toss up. PREDICTION: Lawrence North
McCutcheon (15-2) vs. Lafayette Jeff (9-6) – 7:30 PM ET
This is a rematch of the JC Classic earlier in the year with Jeff narrowly edging out McCutcheon. McCutcheon has since went 11-1 with their only loss to Lawrence Central by 2. Revenge would be sweet and they should be able to get it this week. PREDICTION: McCutcheon
Crispus Attucks (12-3) vs. Brebeuf Jesuit (9-6) – 7:30 PM ET
This is your preview to the upcoming Sectional 27 match in a few weeks. Brebeuf Jesuit has been tested this season with games against the best of the best in the Marion County area. Attucks has lost their three toughest games and their best win is against Northeastern. Will be interesting to see how it goes down with a potential rematch in March. PREDICTION: Brebeuf Jesuit
FRIDAY:
Cathedral (10-5) vs. Bowman Academy (9-5) – 8:00 PM ET
Cathedral vs. Bowman is about the only big game on Friday night with most teams getting the day off. Cathedral will have to drive a ways to play this game but they have quite a bit more talent. If Bowman can limit Walker/Gordon combo they should have a chance. PREDICTION: Cathedral
SATURDAY:
Brebeuf Jesuit (9-6) vs. Park Tudor (11-4) – 2:30 PM ET
Brebeuf Jesuit has had a ton of tough games this season but has lost a majority of them. Park Tudor presents an opportunity against a good team that is trying to gain its footing. If Brebuef can pull off the Attucks/Park Tudor sweep this could be a huge week for them. PREDICTION: Park Tudor
Crown Point (10-6) vs. East Chicago Central (11-4) – 3:00 PM ET
Crown Point has had a little bit of trouble scoring the ball well against really talented teams. ECC puts up some bigger numbers but in their last 5 games they are averaging about 65 points. If Crown Point can put up some offense they can get a key win for their resume. PREDICTION: East Chicago Central
Franklin Central (13-3) vs. Terre Haute South (13-5) – 1:30 PM ET
Franklin Central has been one of the surprise teams of this season as they have gotten big win after big win and taken down some great teams. THS is the next in line and the matchup between Marcus Burk and Jaylen Minnett means it could be a shootout. If anything else it should be entertaining. PREDICTION: Franklin Central
Indianapolis Manual (12-3) vs. North Central (15-1) – 1:30 PM ET
Manual has been solid this season getting the wins they have need but North Central is clearly the best team they will face all year. North Central will have some interesting matchups as they try and stop Courvosier McCauley. PREDICTION: North Central
Noblesville (9-6) vs. Mt. Vernon (Fortville) (14-2) – 1:30 PM ET
Noblesville is heading into the end of the season with a little bit of confidence as they keep winning games and the rest of the Sectional seems to be a bit down. As they look to get their first Sectional win since the 2009-2010 season, Mt. Vernon stands in their way and they are no slouch. Expect it to be close no matter what. PREDICTION: Mt. Vernon (Fortville)
Indianapolis Pike (14-4) vs. Arsenal Tech (14-2) – 4:00 PM ET
If you are looking for a game that is going to be face paced, you couldn’t have asked for a better matchup than Pike vs. Tech. These two teams play pretty similar styles and that is good for Tech more so than Pike. Pike’s fast pace is what helps them to win games in transition. Tech shouldn’t fall into that trap. PREDICTION: Arsenal Tech
Pike Central (13-2) vs. Vincennes Lincoln (12-4) – 2:30 PM ET
There isn’t a better game in the southern part of the state than this one. Pike Central has been stellar this season and Lincoln has been almost as good. Both teams have a little bit of size and that should make things fun. Lincoln’s guys can shoot it and Pike will slash a bit more. Different styles but a fun dynamic in the Vincennes area on Saturday. : Pike Central
