Ben Tharp
6’2 – PF – 2017
Tharp was the inside guy in this one for the Knights. He was really impressive in there up against the 6’5 post Crawfordsville has. He plays much bigger than his size and knows what to do when the shot is in the air. He finds a man then attacks the ball off the rim. He showed me he can knock down 3-pointers and made a few nice moves down low. Only knock on him is his size, he’s built like a forward but plays like a guard. – 23 points, 10 rebounds
Avery Denhart
6’3 – PG – 2017
Controls the game well and can make the moves needed to get to the rim. Opens the court up for his teammates and makes the right passes. He’s very long and lanky and he can really get up. Denhart is the leader on the team and still has so much potential to tap into yet once he starts to trust his midrange jumper. Also posted up on the block and did a nice job in that spot. Could be a nice pickup but will probably play football in college. – 14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists
Crawfordsville:
Devin Guard
6’2 – SG – 2017
Guard is a really intriguing off the ball guard. He has okay handling ability but he was just a much better shooter on the catch. He knocked down three 3-pointers in a row at one point in the first half. He drives well to the basket and can finish through the contact that he draws. Also is a really good passer and sets up his teammates great. He could be an interesting guy next year if he grows a little this summer and improves his left hand a little bit. – 18 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists
Konner Smith
6’5 – PF – 2016
Smith was not as aggressive as I would have liked him to be with the size difference that he had inside but that was not his fault since the coach played matchups and Smith did not get a ton of playing time. When he was in the game though he really stopped anything from coming inside the paint on defense. Hit some huge threes late in the game and really took over the last three minutes. He could be a nice project piece, he has a really good frame. – 14 points, 6 rebounds
