Kobie McNeal
6’0 – PG – 2017
This wasn’t Kobie’s best game. He shot 1/6 from the field and really struggled to make perimeter jump shots but he helped in scoring off turnovers which was one of the big things Brebeuf needed him to do to win the game. He’s got a little bit bigger and a little stronger. He’s still got all the tools to be a good player it just looked like he didn’t have his touch today and with only a few shots, most coming from behind the arc it hurt him. – 7 points, 2 rebounds
Tarig Eldosougi
6’4 – SF – 2016
Tarig has had to continue to change his game for the last few years as he grows away from the post and into a wing player. He’s looked more and more comfortable doing just that and showed it again on Thursday. Productivity is still a work in progress but he had 8 points on 2/3 shooting and grabbed 7 big rebounds. He’s showed efficiency and that is a big step in the right direction. – 8 points, 7 rebounds
Malachi Rice
5’11 – PG – 2017
This was by far the best game I have seen from Malachi Rice. He was aggressive and strong with the ball and made the right play at the right time and was the reason that Brebeuf won this game. He used a lot of counter attacks at the rim off Crispus Attucks’ missed shots and got them before they were able to get all the way back. He was very efficient and used his speed to his advantage. Everything was at the rim but they were difficult shots in traffic. He was 7/8 from the field. – 23 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists
Simon Banks
6’0 – PG – 2019
This was a little bit different of Simon than I had seen before. He was a lot more of a mid-range scorer as in the past it was always a perimeter jump shooter. Simon went 7/9 from the field hitting all six within 16′. Banks is likely to stay at the point but his development as a scorer is what most intrigues. Tough to tell how it will shake out but he’s plenty capable of being a dynamic shooter at a premium position with legit size. 16 points
Crispus Attucks:
Donte Reed
5’10 – PG – 2016
Reed might be a nice pickup for a small school late in the recruiting season. He’s got some speed to his game and can create separation on the perimeter. Reed is a guy who likes to score in the paint and does so in transition, much like the rest of Attucks. He’s a solid point guard option who should provide some offense. Has to show he can play in different systems and distribute the ball. – 5 points, 3 rebounds
Dorain Moore
6’0 – PG – 2016
Dorain is probably more of a combo guard than a true point guard but he has quite a bit of scoring ability. Long range shooter that likes to pull up in transition. Handles the ball okay and can help in a multi-guard lineup. He’s got a solid frame and likes to play at a quick pace. – 5 points
Nike Sibande
6’3 – SG – 2017
NIke looked stellar in this game. Tall guard with some bounce and a little athleticism. Nike has quite a bit of upside if he continues to develop over the next year. Best skill last night was his jump shot. Basically shot it from everywhere on the court. Likes the 15-22′ range and hit a pair of long two-pointers just inside the line. He elevates on his jumper and has just enough length to make life difficult for whoever is trying to defend him. More than a capable rebounder, Nike tracks the ball well and uses his athleticism to win the 50/50 ball. – 21 points, 7 rebounds
