Continue ReadingSandburg senior Zak Razik is a 6’1” combo guard that is very strong in his upper body. He plays with flare and is crafty with the ball in his hands. He takes sharp angles when getting in the lane to score and can finish with acrobatic layups in the paint. The tough guard has a nose for the basketball and also moves well away from the ball. Flashes ability to hit a three, but is streaky. The lefty is an exciting passer that puts zip on his dishes. Worth consideration at the D3 level.
Razik gave us his self-scouting report.
“I think I am a drive first guard that can hit a jump shot occasionally. I am a little streaky there and I know I have to work on that. I like to pass. I am a pass first point guard.”
He ran with The Athlete Within on the grassroots circuit.
“We struggled, but we had a team that fought hard. I liked it. It was competitive and we got after it defensively which I love to do. It was a good experience.”
Where do things stand with recruiting?
“It has been kind of quiet. North Central has some interest.”
