Area Division III and JuCos have been incontact with the talented senior of late, and he says one in particular seems to be courting him more than any other.
“I’m hearing a little bit from some D3 and Community Colleges. I know I’ve heard from Defiance, Adrian, Heidelberg, and St. Clair County Community College – they’ve been calling, sending letter, and texting,” said Reiff.
“I haven’t really talked to them about offers, but I know Defiance has come and watched a couple of my games. I’m pretty much open to anything at the next level, really.”
Reiff says he’s going to continue practicing patience with his recruitment.
“I’m pretty much just waiting until the end of the season to see how far we go and then I’ll plan to talk to some more college coaches – that’s what I want to do.”
He went of to define his playing style to PHM – strengths, and weaknesses.
“I would just say being able to get to the basket, and handling the ball are my strengths – just having a quick first step and being strong with the ball,” said Reiff.
“My weakness right now is probably my pull-up jumping and my spot-up shooting, most of my points are coming at the rim right now. I’ve been going in early before school lately to try and work on that.”
A two year starter, and three year letter winner, Reiff has become the leader of the Spartans, and it’s him that sets the tone night-in and night-out.
“Pretty much they need me to set the tone in practice every day, and just be the coach out there on the floor,” he said. “Personally I feel I’m getting better every game, I started out pretty slow, but I’m getting back up to where I like to be.”
