The 6’4” sharp shooter can carry a team with his shooting for stretches. Flashes a move off the bounce every now and then, but needs to be more consistent mixing that in. Rebounds well for his position. No doubt he is a D1 prospect with the way he strokes it from three.
He broke down how the season has gone on one of the most talented squads in the metro east.
“The season has gone great. I have been getting a lot of open shots thanks to Mark Smith and AJ Epenesa. With practice I have been able to put them in.”
With teams closing out on him hard from beyond the arc, he knows he has to find other ways to get his shot off.
“The big thing is hitting one dribble pull ups. Defenders are going to come out and guard me. I can get that one dribble shot.”
Where do things stand with recruiting?
“I went on a visit to SIU-Edwardsville to see a game. I have been talking to University of Illinois Springfield. They have offered me.”
The junior sharp shooter talked about his visit to SIU-Edwardsville.
“Coach Harris seems real cool. The way they were in the locker room it seemed like they were a real good team.”
Stephen runs with the Southwest Jets on the travel team circuit.
