Continue ReadingMorgan Park junior Malik Binns is a physical 6’5” combo forward that does most of his damage on the interior. He brings constant energy and aggressiveness to a team that feeds off it. Where he is most effective is hitting the offensive boards. Great energy and quickness inside and mauls opponents on the offensive glass. Overall offensive game is still developing, but he plays physical and goes up and through defenders for points. Worth monitoring at the low-major level.
Binns transferred over from Hope where he was the man to a team where he is one of a number of high level recruits. He talked about the transition.
“It is going real well. Nick (Irvin) and I have a lot of trust in each other. It takes a lot of stress off my shoulders where I know I have other good players here that can help me.”
Where do things stand with recruiting for the 2017 prospect?
“I got a couple schools looking at me. Nothing too major. Wisconsin Green Bay and St. Louis with interest.”
