The 6-foot-4 desribes himself is a versatile, athletic, and gritty player, and has already received phone calls for a bevy of area programs.
“I got contact from from Albion, Adrian, Michigan Tech, and Lake Superior. And a lot of other coaches have sent me letters but I haven’t talked to them,” said Lockridge.
“I think about my recruitment a lot, and I’m pretty confident because a lot of schools liked me a lot last summer. And I feel like I’m 10 times better than I was last summer.”
Lockridge is a do-it-all wing for the Bengals, who says he’s been working daily to improve his perimeter skill-set.
“I’m a tough player; I like to rebound, I block a lot of shots, I score a lot, I can score at the basket over smaller guys,” said Lockridge.
“I need to work on my ball-handling and my 3-point shot. Right now me and my coach are just in the gym before and after practice working on my shot.”
With just weeks left in Michigan’s high school season, Lockridge reflected on what his role has been with his team this season
“Pretty much I’m just a junior leader, and I do the dirty work,” he said. “I get rebounds, I get steals, I block shots, and I’m the floor general.”
