Continue ReadingO’Fallon 2016 shooting guard Chance Armstrong is a strong and angular 6’3” wing. He is at his best when he gets in the paint and scores around the hoop. Powerful using his strength to finish through contact. Handles are solid, but at times he brings the ball too high where it can be stripped through defenders. Jump shot has shown improvement in form and has more arc on it. The plus athlete has a quick second jump and is a solid rebounder for a wing. Sound passer for an off guard and has potential as a defender.
Armstrong talked about his season.
“It is going pretty good. We had a rough start, but we are coming together as a team with me being one of the two seniors and having a lot of young guys we are trying to get everyone focused.”
He has had to taken on the lead dog role with the graduation of two seniors last year.
“I think I am playing good. Donovan Franklin and McClain are gone so it is on me to shoot and be more effective.”
Where do things stand with recruiting?
“I had an injury in the summer time with a dislocated ankle so we will have to see.”
Should be under consideration at the D3/NAIA/JUCO level. Would be a great JUCO prospect for someone to develop over the next two seasons.
