He shows a nice passing feel with drive and kick dishes and vision in transition with long passes for buckets. As a scorer was most effective hitting catch and shoot threes and getting in the lane with his strength.
Hurt talked about his game.
“Solid guard that isn’t too flashy. Handle the ball, distribute, and facilitate. Lockdown defender.”
He played with Example Sports up on the 17U level this past summer where he ran alongside several other D1 recruits.
“It went perfect. I learned a lot from Micah Bradford. It is a great program and was great experience. Really helping me during the school season.”
What’s going on with recruiting?
“Interest from St. Louis, Iowa, Xavier, UIC, and I took a visit to Western Illinois.”
The sophomore discussed the Western Illinois visit.
“It was a family environment. I am very comfortable around the coaches. Coach Wright has a great staff. Nice campus. My brother actually goes there too.”
