District 8-C: Family Christian (6-1) @ Jehovah-Jireh (5-0) – JJCA won on the road against FCA by nearly 40 points a couple weeks ago but anything goes in rivalries. If FCA wins, they will likely take home a split district title.
Player to Watch: Donald Johnson III (6’2 G, 2018, JJCA) – When he’s going, they can beat anyone in Class C. If he’s dialed in tonight, should be an easy win.
District 8-2A: Dunham (5-0) @ Episcopal (5-1) – Dunham with a win tonight would clinch the district title but an Episcopal win would give them the lead and make Dunham have to win on the road versus a very tough Christian Life squad on senior night.
Player to Watch: Chris Beckman Jr (6’1 SG, 2016, Episcopal) – Beckman is the coaches son and has grown up in this gym, expect a big shooting night in this match-up.
District 2-3A: Carroll (7-2) @ Wossman (8-1) – Wossman is in territory they aren’t familiar with and despite being at home, that’s why this is key. District is split if Carroll wins on the road tonight. Wossman is one of the real surprises in the state this year.
Player to Watch: Larry Owens (6’8 F/C, 2017, Carroll) – When Owens gets going, there isn’t much you can do. They need a big game from him tonight to upset Wossman.
District 6-5A: St. Paul’s (11-0) @ Slidell (9-2) – This is more about pride than winning district as St Paul has the district locked up. They have been slipping in the power rankings and could use this win. Messing up a 27-1 and perfect district season is the goal for Slidell as well as seeding.
Player to Watch: John Paul Fugate (6’4 F, 2016, Slidell) – If Slidell has any chance, Fugate (known for his shooting) will have to mix it up inside against the massive front line of SPS.
District 8-5A: West Jefferson (5-1) @ Landry-Walker (6-0) – Landry-Walker wins district with a win tonight and continues their climb up the rankings. If West Jeff wins, it would be a 3 way tie for district where we get to have fun with the ole tie breaker rules.
Player to Watch: Lamar Peters (6’0 PG, 2016, LW, Miss St) – When Lamar Peters wants to beat you the past few seasons, he does so and in embarrassing fashion. LW needs that Lamar tonight.
District 2-C: Family Community (5-0) @ Claiborne Christian (4-1)
District 5-C: Georgetown (3-1) vs Harrisonburg (3-1) – Neutral site game, playoff for district title.
District 11-2A: Haynes Academy (6-1) @ Thomas Jefferson (6-1)
District 5-3A: Eunice (6-2) @ Port Barre (6-2)
District 1-4A: Woodlawn Shreveport (6-2) @ Bossier (7-1)
