-Strengths-
Division-I Talent
Of the 31 point guards, six of them already hold Division-I offers and, with Alex Barcello and Saben Lee, there are two potential high major players at this position. In addition to the six holding offers, there are two others who are in position to possibly earn lower D1 scholarships as well, depending on their play and development this spring and summer.
Playmakers
There are numerous point guards that are very good with the ball. Holland Woods is the best playmaker in the class with the ability to make plays for himself and others. Both Alex Barcello and Saben Lee are great at creating their own offense. Noah Baumann, Donald Carter, and Cameron Miller are among the best in their class at creating shots for their teammates.
-Weaknesses-
Small College Depth
While there are some players that could earn scholarship money at the small college level outside of Noah Baumann and Cameron Miller (and possibly Trayvon McCray) there isn’t a small college point guard that could contribute right away. The majority of the small college prospects at this position could add depth to a roster and develop into role players.
Size
This isn’t a very big group, stature wise. Noah Baumann, who is more of a combo guard, is the only player at this position that stands taller than 6-feet, 2-inches. In addition, there are only six other point guards taller than 6-feet.
