#4 Jay Green 6’5” SG Mountain Ridge
Green is a high level mid major prospect with tremendous upside. He is athletic with a strong and physical frame. He has a good feel for the game and plays with intensity while still remaining poise. Jay’s ability to get to his opponent’s hip and make straight line drives is as good as anyone on the westcoast. He’s got the ability to play and defend three positions at the college level and will only get better as the consistency on his perimeter shot improves.
#8 JJ Rhymes 6’3” SG Shadow Mountain
Rhymes has been one of the most productive players in the state of Arizona over the past two years. He’s a physical wing with strength, athleticism, and a high motor. JJ often defends the opponent’s best player, is a high level perimeter rebounder, and is very good at drawing fouls around the basket. He has improved his ability to make shots from the perimeter and continued work in that area will only help his stock. Currently he projects as a mid major 2-guard. Junior colleges are all over him at this point as he is a questionable qualifier. A juco stint may help him earn his way to the high major level as a 2 year impact guy.
#14 Channel Banks 6’3” SG Hillcrest Prep
Banks has had a solid season for Hillcrest as the team’s biggest perimeter threat this season. He’s an aggressive guard that looks to score the ball. He knocks down shots from the perimeter, can score from the midrange area, and is also good at making plays in transition. He’s a volume shooter but handles it well enough to slide over and play some point when needed. A low major prospect that already sports offers from Middle Tennessee State and Prairie View A&M.
#20 Chris Bowling 6’7” SF Gilbert
Bowling is a prospect with a lot of tools. He’s lengthy and pretty athletic vertically. What’s most impressive about him is that he’s tough and plays very aggressive and on the attack. While considered a shooter by some sources, he’s been inconsistent from beyond the arch but when he’s hot, he’s hot! His lack of lateral quickness is what keeps him from being a surefire mid major prospect but he’s worth the look at that level. However, he’s best as a low major Division-I or high level Division-II/NAIA fit.
#21 Antwan Ross 6’3” SG Basha
Ross is a player whose skill level has yet to catch up with his body and athleticism. He has developed from a defender into a dual side threat. Offensively he is very good in transition. He’s aggressive with the ball in his hands and is always on the attack. Antwan is a capable shooter from the perimeter. He is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential, if he opts for the Division-II/NAIA D1 route, he has a chance to develop into an All-Conference level player. If he chooses the junior college route he may be able to earn a scholarship at an even higher level.
#23 Nik Nehls 6’4” SG Catalina Foothills
Nehls is a very skilled player with a lot of offensive versatility. Though he’s mostly known for his ability to shoot the ball with range (which he does well) he is a very heady player with a great feel for the game. He’s good at understanding when and when not to go and can make plays for himself and others off the bounce. He has a chance to be an immediate impact player at the Division-II/NAIA D1 levels.
#25 Gresyn Rogers 6’4” SG Casa Grande
Rogers is a player that has continued to develop at a rapid rate over the past two seasons. He’s a physical wing with good size and a knack for scoring the ball. Gresyn can knock down the open shot, score off the pull up, or get to the rim and finish through traffic. A definite Division-II/NAIA D1 prospect.
#27 Bryan Battle 6’4” SF Higley
Battle is a do-it-all wing that has proven himself as a winner. He’s a thick 6’4” and has great versatility. Bryan handles it, can pass the ball, and has a great feel for the game when it comes to scoring off the bounce. He’s strong enough to finish through traffic and does a good job at drawing fouls in the paint. He also rebounds from the perimeter and has shown the ability to stretch the floor. A Division-II/NAIA D1 prospect.
#31 Jalen Holman 6’3” SG Buena
Holman is an prospect with a lot of tools. He handles it well, is good getting into the paint, and has the length and athleticism to finish over defenders or contort his body to get his shot off around guys. He’s also got the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. The question with Jalen has been his inconsistency (when he’s going he’s good, when he’s not he fades into the game). If he can play with a consistent motor he’s even higher than his projected Division-II/NAIA D1 rating.
#32 Elijah Sikora 6’4” SF Arcadia
Sikora is a player who we expect to blossom after he gets into the college ranks. He has made great strides from his junior to senior season, developing his perimeter skills to the point that he can be considered a legit small forward. He’s strong with good size and very athletic. Mixing that with his motor makes him a great defender and rebounder. He needs to continue to improve the consistency on his shot but he’s a player that will fit well at the Division-II/NAIA D1 levels.
