Adam Grant; 6’1; Norfolk Collegiate
If you’re looking for a scoring combo guard, look no further than Grant. An athletic and strong attacking guard, Grant can score it from all over the floor and has the added luxury of being a capable ball handler and creator. A high academic student with an all around game, Grant holds offers from a number of division two schools.
Szymon Walczak; 6’2; Mount Mission
Walczak, a Polish exchange student, has been the x factor of sorts on a Mount Mission team that continues to compete at a high level against some of the best competition on the east coast. He’s a tough and crafty lefty that finishes through contact and plays with a lot of energy. On the defensive end, he takes pride in being in the right place on help side defense, and is good for at least a couple of charges a game. He’s an under the radar scholarship level talent.
Grant Robinson; 6’0; Potomac School
One of the best on-ball defenders in the state, Robinson prides himself on his ability to shut down opposing ball handlers and make it difficult for teams to get into their sets. He’s a strong and stocky guard who understands how to use his body in the lane, and he can make contested shots, especially in the midrange. He also possesses a great IQ and feel at the lead guard spot.
Cameron Robinson; 6’0; Woodbridge
Robinson is a pit bull who competes at the highest level and rises his game when the lights shine the brightest. He’s a scoring guard who is best when attacking the rim in downhill situations. He can score it at all three levels, play both guard positions and work both on and off the ball. He’s a skilled guard that plays with a chip.
AJ Robinson; 6’1; Middleburg Academy
If you’re looking for a shooter, there’s still one of the best in the state available in AJ Robinson. The combo guard is a knock down specialist with in-the-gym range and a knack for finding his spots and shooting it in transition. He’s also got a high IQ, good vision and a 4.0 GPA.
Bryan Hart; 6’1; Hampton Roads Academy
Hart is the type of player who thrives in an uptempo, high volume system because he’s able to create shots for himself in isolation situations. Hart is a good ball handler with a nasty crossover and can score it at all three levels with the ball in his hands. He has great instincts on both ends, and is a true playmaker, especially with his ability to jump the passing lane for easy transition baskets. He holds offers from D2 Urbana University and Benedict.
Blake Francis; 5’9; Westfield
He may be small, but the numbers Francis puts up against some of the top teams in the DMV area is anything but that. Francis is a lefty guard that can create his own shot, and when he gets it going he is lights out. He’s a volume shooter, but he’s also a pesky defender and can completely change a game with his scoring ability.
Chance Sheffey; 5’11; Miller School
Sheffey has quietly been a very good and relatively efficient option for a Miller School team that usually only goes about six deep. He’s averaging 14.8 points and 3 rebounds per game while shooting 49% from the field, and has really worked on his outside shot to where he’s a legitimate threat from deep. While he’s worked on it, Sheffey is more of an attacking guard who is able to get players into foul trouble and goes to the line more than four times a game.
