Wisconsin Dells Player of Week
Phenomenal week of hoops across the state of Illinois. Let’s take a look at the five nominees for the Wisconsin Dells Player of the Week! Make sure you vote for your favorite as many times as you can over the next few days.
Xavier Bishop (Springfield Lanphier)
The dynamic scoring point guard is one of the most electric playmakers in the state with the ball in his hands. Bishop was spectacular in the city tournament against Sacred Heart Griffin going for 50 points in just three quarters!
Ethan Meeker (Galesburg)
One of the best unsigned senior point guards in Illinois showed why against a quality Rock Island team. Meeker went for 25 points in a win. Very underrated player.
Mike Smith (Fenwick)
The state’s premier uncommitted lead guard elevated his game and team in a huge Chicago battle against Simeon. Smith had 38 points and came up clutch in their win over the Wolverines.
Oliver Stephen (Edwardsville)
We saw this one in person as the 6’4” junior wing was on fire from behind the arc. He hit 6 threes in the first quarter and 8 total in the first half. Stephen finished with 26 points and didn’t play at all in the second half.
Javon Freeman (Seton)
This big combo guard has a lot of projectable tools long term and plays with a great feel for the game along with versatility. He showed it against Leo going for 24 points in a win.
