“We’ve had a good start to our season. Currently 12-3 and have lost to both AAA Holy Angels and Waseca. Then our third loss was to Maple River, all winnable games.
“We have a good team this year with a lot of guys with experience and we’ve been building on it every week and taking advantage of the losses we’ve had to build off of them. We have high expectations this year. Currently through our games I’ve been averaging 23 points and 12 boards.”
Olson is building a resumé that is attractive to Division II and NAIA colleges.
“As far as recruitment I’ve received continuous mail from Northern State, Concordia-St. Paul and Briar Cliff,” Olson said. “I’ve been invited to junior days at Briar Cliff and Bemidji State as well. Then I have talked with the Sioux Falls coach continuously on a weekly basis for the past few months, and I took a visit there last weekend to watch shootaround, get a tour of campus and the facilities and then see their game at night against Northern Iowa.”
Zac plans on playing AAU with the Comets this spring.
