Towson, James Madison, and Delaware have offered the 6-foot-3 junior. He’s visited Towson and Delaware.
”I visited Towson sometime in September I believe, and it’s a very good campus. I like the way the lifestyle is there, and it’s a great arena. I like that,” said Nolan, who later visited Delaware’s campus.
“That’s a great campus, everybody there (Delaware) was welcoming me. They have great practice facilities, and a great gym. And their coaching staff was real nice and I liked that.”
Nolan mentioned Robert Morris, and LaSalle were two schools that may be next to offer, and he’s hearing from a handful of additional D1 programs also.
“I talk to Robert Morris a lot on the phone, and LaSalle sends me a lot of letters,” said Nolan. “And I’m still hearing from VCU, Dayton, Kansas State, American, and Virginia is still sending me mail.”
He’s been playing combo guard most of his career, but says he’s been focused lately on becoming more of a scoring point guard.
“Over the summer I’ve been working on becoming a point guard, and at the same time I’ve been one of the main scorers at Mount Carmel, so I’ve been focusing on that a lot too, while I’m working to get my teammates involved,” said Nolan.
“Right now I’m trying to limit my turnovers, and I’m trying to see the whole court better, to make the best play possible. And my left hand has gotten a lot better, but I still think there’s a lot of room for improvement.”
After coming off the bench last season for the Cougars, Nolan has become the main guy this season.
“My role this year is to be a leader and to provide constant scoring for the team,” said Nolan, “And constant enthusiasm, don’t let anyone get down, and then to close games.”
