The Pirates lost to Sully Buttes by a single basket and hope they get another shot at Scott Senftner and the Chargers them later in the year. The Pirates recently defeated Hitchcock-Tulare by ten and have one more meeting with them in just over two weeks time.
The season has been going pretty good,” Krause told PHD. “For us to keep getting better we have to keep up our offense threat and play better team defense, we have a tough stretch in our schedule so the next couple weeks will really test us.”
Coming up Highmore-Harrold has James Valley Christian tonight, the rematch with Hitchcock-Tulare, plus Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, Potter County and others. With that stretch up ahead Jarret knows he needs to step up his game even further.
“I think I am playing pretty good but there’s always stuff in my game that I need to improve on. I think I can still play better.
“I am shooting the ball better than last year and I am rebounding a little better one thing that I need to approve on is driving to the basket. But the biggest thing is my defense.”
College basketball programs are starting to look at Krause but at this point he and his coach want to worry about the next month of play, then think about college.
“I’m not real sure as of right now,” Krause told PHD. “I’m going to see how the rest of the season goes and hopefully get a good scholarship from a school to play college ball.
“I have a couple looking at me and my coach said there’s a couple more but he hasn’t told me yet, he said he wanted me to stay focused on our season before all that comes in.”
