The junior is quick off the dribble and slippery through traffic where he can finish at the rim. He is a plus three point shooter with a smooth release mechanically and it is consistently repeatable. Jacobs is an above average rebounder for his position skiing high above bigger opponents for many of them. Mid-major prospect in the 2017 class.
The junior likes to play under control on the floor while still using his athleticism.
“Slowing down the game and controlling the game. Being a leader and picking up guys that might be having a bad game.”
He had a breakout summer with All-In/Young & Reckless on the travel team circuit.
“It went great. I loved that team. Individually I think it got me better and I learned more.”
Where do things stand with recruiting?
“I have three offers from Southern Illinois, North Dakota, and Chicago State.”
SIU is a program pursuing him the most right now.
“I like them. They show a lot of support and try to get to all the games I play.”
Other programs to express interest in him include SIUE, St. Louis, Siena, VCU, Loyola, South Dakota St, La Salle, Duquesne, LIU-Brooklyn, Illinois State, and Western Illinois.
