“The season is going great and I’m really liking my team,” started Battle. “We are focused on trying to put a (state championship) banner up.”
Currently averaging 19 points and 8 rebounds, Bryan has had some standout performances including a 36 point, 16 rebound performance against Sacred Heart Cathedral (CA).
At 6’4” Battle is a versatile performer that can defend multiple positions. Offensively he is very good at attacking the rim and finishing through contact. Though his production has been high, he has still been working on his skillset.
“I’ve been looking to improve my outside shot the most. It’s a focal point for me, personally.”
Though his shot is somewhat inconsistent, it has improved. Adding that to his other skillset and his current production has caught the eye of some college coaches.
“A couple schools have been in contact but (I have) no offers.”
While he hasn’t taken any visits, we were able to confirm that multiple Pac West (NCAA D2) and GSAC (NAIA D1) schools have interest in Bryan.
“I’m looking for a school that fits me academically as well as athletically. I want to be a cardiologist so I will major in anything that helps me to be one.”
Battle, who currently boasts a 3.8 GPA, is more focused on the season than recruiting, however.
“My goal is to put a banner up. We work as hard as we can everyday and I know it will pay off.”
