He’s averaging 22.7 PPG and ranks fourth in total points scored for the entire state. NHR was on hand for a 27-point effort against Madison East, and Amar’s energy and effort is as high as ever. The kid is truly dynamic at times.
“I think the season is going well so far,” Amar said. “We have some things to work on, and I think we are maturing as a team. The adversity we are going through is helping us in the long run because it is bringing us in more as a family, and we all know we have each other’s back.”
Amar has heard from D1, D2 and prep programs in regards to his post-grad future. Akron, Appalachian State and more have inquired to his coaches about basketball, and after a great first year as a slot receiver for the Skippers, he’s picked up some football interest from programs like Eastern Michigan and even Tennessee of the SEC. He currently holds basketball offers from North Dakota and Bryant.
“I’m definitely open to football,” Miller said. “To decide by the end of the season would be ideal. And if prep school is my decision, I think another AAU season would be possible.”
