Continue ReadingAs his senior season winds down at Norfolk Collegiate, many would agree that Adam Grant has been an integral part of the Oaks’ recent successes. The 6-foot-1 guard, who is a native of Franklin, Virginia, has helped his team open up the 2015-16 campaign with a very respectable 14-3 record. Examine the list of best available guards in VA, and you won’t find many who can match what he brings to the table.
With an average of just under 18 points per game, Adam has made it a point to get his teammates more involved this year. His fellow seniors, Kyonze Chavis and Bash Townes, are averaging 16 and 19 points per game respectively. Leading more with his words rather than his actions were another area Adam is focusing on.
“I’m a crafty guy who can penetrate and initiate the offense, but I can also get my buckets as well,” Grant explained. “I’ve been more vocal this year. Just trying to be more of a leader and get my teammates in the right positions.”

This year, Adam showcases an improved jump-shot and a tighter handle. He’s excellent student, who sports a 3.6 GPA. Two division 1 schools, Bryant and VMI have offered him scholarships. His list of division 2 offers include Lincoln Memorial, Catawba, Mount Olive, and Lees-McRae. Radford is the latest division one school to express interest in his services. Given his nice blend of skill, athleticism, and feel, we expect his recent uptick in recruitment to continue.
