Jeremy Roscoe to SIU
SIU-Carbondale picked up a big commitment on Saturday night with a verbal from Victory Rock Prep (FL) shooting guard Jeremy Roscoe. The 6’2” guard helped lead Uplift to a 2A state title last year as a senior before going to prep school this season. He told us why the Salukis were his choice.
“I trust the coaching staff and I honestly felt like it was the best choice for me as possible. Plus I want to help them continue having great seasons like they’re having this year. I believe I can help them make the tournament at least three years.”
Where does he feel his game will fit in with his new team?
“They will be losing their best scorer after this year so I feel like I can fill in for him in the next four years and I will bring toughness to their program.”
Roscoe is a 6’2” combo guard that is a solid shooter with a sweet looking lefty shot that is quick coming out of his hands. He handles it well and when he is locked into in the game can take over with both his scoring and drive and kick ability. Roscoe is an above average defender with active hands creating turnovers.
