Bryce Barnes Commits to UW-Milwaukee
Bogan 2016 point guard Bryce Barnes made his commitment on late Wednesday night to attend UW-Milwaukee. We caught up with the senior guard to get the details on why they were his choice.
“I just feel like it’s the best situation for me. Coach Jeter and his staff really believe in me and have my best interest at heart. The program is great. They’ve been to the tournament and they’ve beaten big teams like Minnesota and Wisconsin this year. It’s not too far away from home. I’m looking forward to continuing my athletic and academic career at UWM!”
Barnes was one of the better point guards available in the state. He is a tough and pesky on ball defender that causes turnovers. Can hit the three in the pull game as well as off the catch. Solid ball handler. When he heats up on the offensive end he can carry a team. He had 38 points in one game this season.
The guard ran with the Mac Irvin Fire on the Nike EYBL circuit.
