This group is led by a duo of high major performers in Da’Monte Williams (Peoria Manual) and Nojel Eastern (Evanston). Each has quality size for the position along with a feel for how to impact a game. The pair are both ranked among the top five overall prospects in the class regardless of position.
After the top two Evan Gilyard (Simeon) is also a top 10 overall prospect with his ability to lead a team and leave his mark on a game in a variety of ways. Jalen Clanton (Riverside Brookfield), Tai Bibbs (West Chicago), PJ Pips (Lemont), and Teyvion Kirk (Joliet West) are all having quality seasons and should be on the D1 radar. Other D1 prospects include Willie Herenton (Stevenson), Keondre Schumacher (Normal U-High), Ramar Evans (Loyola), and CJ Coldon (Belleville Althoff).
Several underrated prospects have elevated their stock with strong junior years including Allonte Pickens (Curie), Aundrae Williams (Springfield Lanphier), Rico Sylvester (Belleville East), and Jake Schutter (Providence Catholic).
