Billie Webster
6’4 – SG – 2017
Webster came out on fire to start the game. The 6’4 wing shot the ball really well and looked comfortable playing on the perimeter with handles that could help to create some nice looks. Solid release and repeatable. Great length from distance where he can shoot over the top and even showed it to benefit the defensive end. Could still grow a bit more but like him as a 2 who can help on the perimeter. – 11 points
Desmond Bane
6’4 – SF – 2016
Bane had a really good game. He’s a big kid with tons of strength and improved athleticism. One area I didn’t expect to be as good was his shooting. While I still don’t trust it that much, he did really well hitting from deep. Shot looked consistent and he went 4/5 from deep. Bane was strong on the defensive boards and actually got the ball up the floor well. He’s still got a long ways to go on defense as he struggled in zone. Didn’t hit a shot from the floor in the fourth quarter but went for 9 free throws in the extra period. – 33 points, 15 rebounds
Richmond:
Trey Griffin
5’10 – PG – 2017
Griffin was a really big help from Richmond tonight because outside of him and Gibson, Richmond struggled to score. Griffin is a small guard that ran the point for them most of the game and was clutch when they could find him open in the halfcourt where he was knocking down threes. Went 5/6 from behind the arc hitting his first five. Griffin could be a nice specialist option for a team next season. His shot looked repeatable and clean. All catch and shoot so it will be interesting to see what else he has in his arsenal down the road. – 15 points
Adrion Gibson
6’3 – SF – 2016
Gibson was a beast in this game. There wasn’t a ton of size but it wouldn’t have mattered Adrion got a ton of rebounds right at the rim on the offensive end to get some easy buckets and free throws. He showed an excellent mid-range game as a pick-and-pop forward who hit a bunch from the free throw line. He went for 28 points on 13/17 shooting. Was strong enough to finish in the paint consistently and played with a ton of energy. Only about 6’3 or so but motor looked great and he was very productive. – 28 points, 9 rebounds
