Zach Sanders
6’2 – SG – 2016
Sanders is a tall shooting guard with a solid perimeter jumper. However, he didn’t have the greatest day shooting from there. Started out 0/6 from deep. He was better on his drives at the rim. Columbus was able to get in the transition game with the pace that LC was wanting to play at and Sanders was the beneficiary of that. If he can reel in his shooting, his team could have a better chance. 3/15 isn’t great but he’s also a much better shooter than tonight. Has had a few really big games already this season. – 7 points, 2 rebounds
Kevin Williams
6’6 – PF – 2016
Williams looked a little more polished in this game than earlier this summer. Williams is a utility type forward who can do a lot of the little things. He’s got decent hands and a a knack for being in the right place at the right time. He was good under the basket finishing on some dumpoffs from Chitty. Williams can give a DIII/NAIA team a great bench guy to fill a few different roles. He had 16 points tonight on 7 shots, all coming in the paint. – 16 points, 3 rebounds
Parker Chitty
6’1 – PG – 2016
Parker was impressive in this game going 8/16 from the floor for 22 points and 8 assists. He was the complete point guard and made it a game for Columbus East. Parker had a couple really great passes to setup his teammates. The Eastern Kentucky commit is one of the better pure point guards in the state. He was solid shooting the ball, much better than this summer. He had a couple really nice stepback jumpers that was able to clear space and get a clean look. Moving much better than in years before. – 22 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists
Lawrence Central:
Kyle Guy
6’2 – PG – 2016
Guy was, well he was Kyle. He hit a bunch of tough shots and gave his team the lift on the offensive end that they needed. He was good getting back and starting the defensive pressure. He does a good job leading by example and sometimes that is overshadowed by his offensive output. Great teammate. Dropped 31 points tonight on a very efficient on 15 shots. Kyle took a lot of tough shots but hit 8/9 from 2 and 4/6 from three. A very good representation of his year to this point. – 31 points, 3 rebounds
Mekhi Biffle
6’1 – SG – 2016
This might have been one of the best games of Biffle’s career. He had 12 points and all came on shots inside the arc, at least three coming on the mid-range pull-up. This aspect of Biffle’s game isn’t near his best but it was on today and he used it all game. If he can add that to his game, consistently, he can see a bump up in rankings and recruiting. He isn’t a big time offensive threat so a new offensive skill would go a long way. – 12 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists
